Katie has a Masters in urban planning from the University of Toronto, where she focused on housing, homelessness, and the right to the city. Prior to joining CERA, she worked in the non-profit housing sector and led youth mentorship and outreach initiatives in Toronto’s inner suburbs.
Annie Hodgins, Project Manager 416-944-0087 Ext. 4
Annie has an MA focusing on psychology and women’s history. Before joining CERA, she worked as a file analyst for a psychiatrist and at the Institute on Governance. Annie is passionate about ensuring that government policy has a positive impact on the issues surrounding mental health and vulnerable populations.
Carly Bowie, Human Rights and Housing Lead Caseworker 416-944-0087 Ext 1
Carly has received her Social Work degree from Ryerson University with a strong emphasis in Political Science. She focuses on bringing an anti-oppression lens to the housing sector to support tenants. This allows her to draw the connections between Canadian policies and how they are impacting people on the ground. She is passionate about advocating for stronger social policies in affordable housing to increase social inclusion. Carly initially joined us for a student placement and has now transitioned to become a staff member.
Tahera Sharif, Project Assistant 416-944-0087 Ext.3
Tahera received her BA from the University of Toronto, where she
majored in Women and Gender Studies. Prior to joining CERA, she worked
with several non-profit organizations helping to develop programs to
assist refugees and immigrants to successful settlement and
